The Slide&Hide door does not hinge forward like a conventional oven door. Instead, it slides completely under the oven cavity when opened. This mechanism requires specific housing clearance that Neff publishes in its technical installation guide.

A Neff Slide&Hide oven installed in a housing unit without the minimum clearance below the oven base will jam. The door slides under the unit — it needs 88mm of clearance beneath the oven cavity to operate correctly. Many kitchen fitters build the housing without checking this specification.
