• Gas supply verified — Smeg Victoria requires a 20mm diameter gas supply at 20mbar natural gas pressure. Older North London properties may have a 15mm supply that needs upgrading before the cooker can be connected
• Flexible hose connection — Smeg specifies a minimum 600mm flexible hose with BSP threaded fittings on both ends
• Full gas pressure test at 20mbar with zero drop over 2 minutes
• Per-burner flame check — all burners lit at full, medium, and low settings, checked for blue cone flame with no yellow tips
• Anti-tilt bracket secured — Smeg range cookers must be fixed to the wall or floor to prevent tipping
• Gas Safe certificate issued

The Smeg Dolce Stil Novo range represents Smeg's collaboration with Guido Canali — premium materials, brass trim, and distinctive Neo-Retro styling. These appliances are found in high-value kitchen renovations across Highgate, Canonbury, and Muswell Hill. Installation requirements:

• Built-in oven housing measured for exact Dolce Stil Novo dimensions — these ovens are wider and taller than standard models in some configurations
• Dedicated 13A spur or 16A circuit checked before connection
• All Dolce Stil Novo cooking functions tested before sign-off — including Vapore steam and Vapor Clean where applicable

Smeg FAB28, FAB32 & FAB50 Installation

Smeg FAB refrigerators are freestanding retro-design fridges that require specific positioning care. The FAB compressor is at the rear — the unit must have a minimum 50mm clearance at the back and sides for heat dissipation. Incorrect positioning causes the compressor to overheat and fail prematurely. We position and level every Smeg FAB refrigerator correctly:

• Rear and side clearance measured and confirmed before positioning
• Adjustable front feet set to level the unit precisely — an unlevel FAB does not seal correctly at the door
• Temperature set to 3–5°C for fridge and -18°C for freezer compartment (FAB50)
• Door hinge direction confirmed — FAB fridges can be left or right-hinged and should be set before delivery

Smeg 60cm & Slimline Dishwashers

Smeg dishwashers — including the retro-styled DFD13 and the integrated STA6539L — require correct AquaStop-compatible inlet hose routing. For integrated Smeg dishwashers, the furniture door must be matched to the hinge kit weight rating — Smeg publishes maximum furniture door weights for each model. We check and fit accordingly.
