Hotpoint NSWM, NM, & ActiveCare Washing Machines

Hotpoint washing machines are among the most commonly replaced appliances in North London. The NSWM 743U and ActiveCare NM11 966 BC A models are our most frequently installed Hotpoint machines. Key installation considerations for Hotpoint:

• Hotpoint uses three rear transport bolts on most models — all removed before testing. The NSWE 965 BS A model uses a different bolt pattern with plastic captive nuts — all must be fully extracted
• Hotpoint's cold fill only design requires a single water inlet connection (cold) — there is no hot fill inlet on most current models
• Hotpoint pump-out hose is shorter than average — maximum standpipe height is 90cm. Properties with standpipes above 90cm need an extension hose, which we carry on every visit
• Anti-vibration feet adjusted — Hotpoint machines vibrate more noticeably than Bosch or AEG at high spin speeds. Correct levelling reduces noise and movement significantly
• 1400rpm spin test run to confirm correct drum balance before sign-off

Hotpoint SI4 854, SI9 891 & Class 4 Built-in Ovens

Hotpoint built-in single ovens are a standard installation in terms of housing and circuit requirements, but the Class 4 and Class 6 fan oven models have a rear-mounted cooling fan that must have a clear path to the oven housing ventilation slot. If the housing vent is blocked by a drawer unit below, the cooling fan overheats and shuts the oven down mid-cycle. We check the oven housing ventilation path before fitting every Hotpoint oven.

Hotpoint 4 Burner Gas Hobs — GHH75 & PCN641

Hotpoint 4 burner gas hobs are one of our most commonly installed gas hobs across North London. The GHH75 and PCN641T models use standard cast iron pan supports with enamelled burner caps. Gas Safe installation process:

• Cutout dimensions confirmed — Hotpoint 4 burner hobs require a 560mm x 480mm cutout minimum
• Gas connection at 20mbar with flexible hose
• Full pressure test — zero drop over 2 minutes
• Per-burner flame test — all four burners checked at full and simmer settings
• Ignition button function confirmed on each burner
• Gas Safe sign-off issued

Hotpoint HFC 3C26 W & HIC 3B19 C

Hotpoint dishwashers — including the HFC 3C26 and HIC 3B19 integrated model — use a pump-out waste system with a 1200 litres/hour drain pump. The waste hose must be routed with an anti-siphon loop at minimum 40cm — lower than the Bosch or Neff requirement. We fit the high-loop at the correct height for each Hotpoint model and run a full short cycle before sign-off.
